Call on students fairly. Each student is picked once before anyone gets a second turn — and the wheel remembers who has gone.
Every teacher knows the pattern: the same five hands go up, and the quiet students drift off. A random student picker changes the dynamic. When anyone could be chosen next, the whole class stays engaged — and because the choice is visibly random, nobody feels singled out.
This picker is built for classrooms. By default it uses no-repeat mode: once a student is picked, they move to the Already picked list, so everyone gets a turn before the cycle starts again. Press Put everyone back to begin a new round.
Spin a question with the Classroom Question Wheel and a student with this picker for instant discussion prompts. Split the class with the Team Generator or Group Maker, and mix up seats with the Seating Chart Randomizer.
Names you enter never leave your device. The list is stored only in your browser’s local storage so it is ready for the next lesson. We do not collect, upload or see student data — which makes the tool suitable for schools with strict data policies. You can also use first names, initials or numbers instead of full names.
No-repeat mode is on by default. Each picked student moves to the “Already picked” list until you press “Put everyone back”.
Yes, in your own browser only. Next time you open the page on the same device, your list is still there. Nothing is uploaded.
Yes. Tap the wheel to spin and use the full-screen button so the whole class can see it.
Keep each class list in a document and paste the one you need, or use the share link to save a bookmark for each class.
