Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how PickerSpinner (“we”, “us”) at pickerspinner.com handles information when you use our website and tools. The short version: our tools run in your browser and the entries you type stay on your device.

1. Information you enter into the tools

Names, lists, comments, entries, settings and results you enter into our wheels and pickers are processed entirely in your web browser. They are not sent to or stored on our servers. To remember your lists between visits, the tools save them in your browser’s local storage on your own device. You can delete this data at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for pickerspinner.com.

When you use a share link, your wheel’s entries are encoded inside the link itself. Anyone you send the link to can see those entries, so only share links with people you trust and avoid including sensitive personal information.

2. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider and web server automatically process technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, referring page and the date and time of your visit. This information is used for security, troubleshooting and performance (for example, caching), and is kept only as long as necessary for those purposes.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

Our tools use your browser’s local storage only to remember your lists and preferences (such as sound on/off). We do not use local storage to track you. Our website platform may set essential cookies needed for the site to function and for security. If we add analytics or advertising in the future, we will update this policy and, where required by law, ask for your consent first.

4. Third-party services

Our pages load web fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers and shares your IP address with Google to download the font files. Please see Google’s privacy policy for details. Our site is hosted by a third-party hosting provider that processes server data on our behalf.

5. Children’s privacy

Our tools are used in classrooms and by families. Because entries stay in the browser, we do not collect personal information from children through the tools. We recommend teachers use first names or initials. If you believe a child has sent us personal information (for example by email), contact us and we will delete it.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal information we hold about you, and to object to processing. Since we do not store your tool entries, most requests can be fulfilled by clearing your browser data. For any other request, email us.

7. Data security

We use HTTPS encryption for all pages and keep our software up to date. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but because your tool entries never leave your device, the risk to that data from our side is minimal.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed.
