FAQ

Quick answers about how our wheels work, how random they are and how to get the most out of them.

Are PickerSpinner wheels truly random?

Yes. Results are generated with crypto.getRandomValues(), the browser’s cryptographically secure random number generator. The winner is chosen first and the wheel then animates to it, so the spin speed or starting position never affects the result.

Do I need an account or an API key?

No. Every tool works instantly in your browser without signing up, logging in or connecting any account.

Where are my lists saved?

In your browser’s local storage on your own device. That is why your list is still there when you come back. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Do you upload or see my names and entries?

No. The tools run entirely in your browser. Your entries are never sent to our server.

How do I share a wheel?

Click “Copy share link” under the list. The link contains your wheel’s entries (and colors and weights on the custom wheels), so anyone who opens it sees the same wheel.

How do I stop the same entry winning twice?

Click “Remove” in the result pop-up, or open Options and turn on automatic removal. The Random Student Picker and Raffle Wheel remove winners by default.

Can I make one entry more likely than others?

Yes. Add the entry more than once on any list wheel, or set weights on the Custom Spin Wheel Maker and Prize Wheel.

How many entries can a wheel have?

There is no fixed limit. The wheel comfortably displays hundreds of entries; the Number Wheel supports ranges up to one billion.

Can I use the wheels on a projector or smart board?

Yes. Use the ⛶ full-screen button for a big, clear wheel. You can tap the wheel itself to spin.

Does it work on phones and tablets?

Yes. Every page adapts to phones, tablets and desktops, and works in all modern browsers.

Can I turn off the sound or confetti?

Yes. Use the speaker button above the wheel for sound, and the Options panel for confetti.

Can I use PickerSpinner for official giveaways?

Yes. For transparency, publish your rules and screen-record the draw. Remember to follow each platform’s promotion rules and your local laws.

Is PickerSpinner free?

Yes, all tools are free to use.
